What is Virtual Adoption?
Not every pet is right for adoption, and not every animal-lover is able to adopt. Many of our permanent residents are rescue animals who, due to age, medical condition, or social skills are not good candidates for adoption. That is why we’ve created our virtual adoption program. All of our permanent residents are available for virtual adoption.
How does it work?
For a monthly donation towards the pet of your choice you will receive an Adoption Certificate, regular updates, and photos. Check out our Facebook page to see updates, announcements, and photos about your new virtual pet.
Available for Virtual Adoption
-
Maverick
Maverick is a large, senior grey and white tabby. He loves a good pat on the head, but prefers a good nap. He is with us because he has behavioral issues.
-
Spot
Spot is a senior black and white cat. He loves cuddling in bed, and a good tummy rub. He struggles with chronic kidney and bladder issues.
-
Picassa
Picassa is a petite, female calico adult who suffers from an auto immune disorder which requires special care. She rules the roost.
-
Trinket
This pin-stiped tabby is a senior cat and requires geriatric medical care. She loves to play chase with peacock feathers.
-
Rusty
Rusty is still fairly active for his age and loves the cat tree, but he has genetic auto-immune disease. He’s a total catnip junkie!
-
Princess Caliope Catitude (Callie)
The name says it all. Callie is very demanding and doesn’t play well with others. She’s happiest with a catnip toy in-paw.
-
Berkely
An African Grey parrot, Berkely was a family rescue. He’s probably the only known captive parrot that doesn’t swear — but he does bite!
-
Tonka
Nearly 40yrs old and only 30” high at the shoulder, this mini-horse requires 4 different medications twice daily due to asthma allergies and COPD.
-
Enoch
Enoch was abandoned by his owners and while his age is unknown, he is in his senior years. He’s very sweet for a billy goat.
-
Goldie
Goldie is a 50yr old golden Mustang mare who suffered incredible abuse. She suffers from Cushings Disease and requires special care and medication.
-
Baby Peacock(s)
Our newest residents are 4 baby peacocks who hatched recently after being abandoned by their mom. Sex unknown. Virtually adopt one of these beauties and get the chance to name it!
-
Don Quixote
Don Quixote is a 10-12 yr old hermaphroditic donkey. He will be available for adoption when the Mustang mare, Goldie, passes — as they are strongly bonded.
